1-Hour Reading Rave | FREE XL Stunt 📚 | Live Music | NEMO Museum's Rooftop 🌊

Let's flood NEMO Science Museum's rooftop with hundreds of readers for our third ever 1-Hour Reading Rave - a free (pay-what-you-like) event to swap screen time for a calm hour of social reading. See it as a workout for your mind, without the sweaty part 😉. Imagine this: 500 people reading together one of the city's most iconic rooftops, without a phone in sight. On August 1st, we're challenging Amsterdam to take a break from scrolling and get together for an offline reading rave overlooking Amsterdam. On June 27th, we already got together with 300+ readers on NEMO's rooftop. They read silently* in the sun to live guitar tunes, and connected with each other afterwards. It was a-ma-zing. *Please note we'll read in public and so, there might be sounds, voices, wind and more. Crazy right!? What to expect: ⏰ 1 hour of laid-back (silent but social) reading, with hundreds of others 📵 Phones off and tucked away for the entire hangout (no-phone policy). 💬 Stay longer to meet and connect with fellow readers. We'll supply book-themed conversation starters. Where & when: 📍 NEMO Science Museum's Rooftop. Please enter from the long stairs, and not through the museum. 🗓 Saturday, August 1st, from 11:00-12:00. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes early (before 10:45), as communal (silent) reading starts promptly at 11:00. 🎟 RSVP to claim your ticket & support our mission with an optional donation - it allows us to keep these events free and pay artists ❤️ *In case of rain or bad weather, we'll have to either cancel or move the gathering to another date. What to bring: 📖 A book, poetry bundle, comic, or anything to read . 🫔 Your own pillow, blanket, fold-out chair, or anything else cozy to get comfy on. 🧺 Your own drinks, snacks, and sun screen! You can also buy drinks at NEMO's rooftop cafe. 👯 Invite friends, book worms, ravers, or your entire book club... Basically, people who'd kill you if they'd miss this. 👚 A shirt or blouse, as bikini's or a bare chest is. notallowed. ❌ Sorry, no pets allowed. Please leave your dog, cat or goldfish at home.
