9Zero Screening of Oceania: Journey to the Center

Please join us for a special screening of Oceania: Journey to the Center, an award-winning film of community and climate resilience. The story takes place in Pacific Island Nation Kiribati, the island nation predicted by scientists to become uninhabitable in the next decade due to sea level rise. Oceania follows Kiribati elder Tekinati Ruka on a journey of Kiribati history, the strength and wisdom of her people, and the climate realities they face. We will be joined by award-winning filmmaker and local Natalie Zimmerman, who spent 10 years developing relationships and capturing this story. This film has been awarded Best International Feature, Best Female Director, Wild Woman Award, and Cinemar Ocean Conservation Award, and is available in 6 languages. This year marks the beginning of their climate resilience Impact Projects. Oceania is inviting donations and partners for the film's Impact Projects.
