The era of simple chatbots is over. Real AI applications need to scrape live data, automate workflows, manage infrastructure, use powerful models, and deploy at scale, all working together in production. If you are ready to build real AI systems, this hackathon is for you. Hosted by AI Builders, Agent Forge Hackathon is a hands-on, full-day hackathon in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, where builders will prototype production-grade AI applications using tools and infrastructure from our sponsors. This event takes place around the time of KDD 2026, held August 9-13 in South Korea, bringing together the global energy of builders, researchers, and AI enthusiasts. We hope to welcome people coming for KDD, the local Seoul AI community, and anyone excited to build the future of AI together. What You'll Do Build a working AI project in one day using sponsored tools and APIs Attend a hands-on workshop to get up to speed before hacking begins Form teams of up to 6 people or build solo Demo your project live and compete for sponsor credit prizes Connect with builders, researchers, engineers, founders, and AI enthusiasts in Korea and beyond AI Stacks of the Day Nosana: Decentralized GPU compute for running AI workloads, model inference, data processing, and agent tasks on accessible, distributed infrastructure. GMI Cloud: Access over 200 leading AI models through a single unified platform without managing infrastructure. Its consistent API enables developers to prototype, deploy, and scale production applications faster and more efficiently. Qwen Cloud: Cloud AI infrastructure and model services for building agentic applications with scalable language models, multimodal capabilities, and developer-friendly APIs. Agenda 1:30 PM - Check-in + networking 2:00 PM - Kickoff + sponsor workshop 2:30 PM - Team formation + building time begins 4:00 PM - Project submission deadline 4:15 PM - AI-assisted selection of the top 10 teams 4:30 PM - Top 10 teams present on stage, 3 minutes per team 5:15 PM - Human judges select the top 3 teams 5:30 PM - Winners announced + close Prizes Winning teams share sponsor credits as prizes. All participants receive sponsor resources to build with during the hackathon. Judging Criteria Completeness: Did the team finish at least a minimum viable product? Innovation: Is the product idea original, ambitious, or meaningfully different? Real-Life Problem Solving: Does the project solve a real problem or address a clear pain point? Sponsored Product Usage: Projects that integrate more sponsor products at the code level will receive higher consideration. Selection Process We will select top 10 teams will present their projects on stage, with 3 minutes per team. Then, we will select the top 3 teams from those 10 finalists. Who Should Join Developers, AI engineers, researchers, founders, students, and AI enthusiasts who want to go beyond tutorials and build something real. Whether you are exploring AI for the first time, publishing research, building agent infrastructure, or shipping AI products in production, there is a place for you here.
