Pharma Hack Day at AWS Builder Loft A full-day hackathon for builders working at the intersection of AI, pharma, biotech, clinical workflows, research operations, and regulated data-heavy environments. On Thursday, August 13, we are bringing developers, AI engineers, technical founders, researchers, and life sciences operators together at AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco for a focused Pharma Hack Day. The goal is to build practical prototypes that make pharma and life sciences work faster, safer, more observable, or easier to operate. This is a hands-on build day, not a passive panel. Bring a laptop, a concrete workflow, and a willingness to build with real constraints in mind: data quality, privacy, auditability, approvals, compliance, reliability, and human-in-the-loop review. What You Might Build AI agents for research and literature workflows Document intelligence for scientific, clinical, or regulatory materials Knowledge management and retrieval across pharma datasets Compliance-aware automation and auditability tools Clinical trial operations, site workflows, and patient engagement prototypes Medical affairs, field team, or internal enablement workflows Data extraction, normalization, and validation from messy sources Important Data Note Do not bring private patient data, confidential sponsor materials, or regulated data that cannot be used in a public hackathon setting. Use synthetic, public, sample, or properly de-identified data. Who Should Apply This event is for AI engineers, software engineers, technical founders, product builders, researchers, data scientists, healthcare builders, pharma operators, and life sciences teams working on practical AI workflows. You do not need to arrive with a full team or finished idea. You should come ready to build, test, compare notes, and demo something concrete by the end of the day.
