Twitter said they’d kill us in 72 hours. We're fighting back. We are so tired of doomscrolling Big Tech feeds designed to suck your attention. Fight back with Bouncer 2.0 releasing today! Bouncer runs a local model entirely on your iPhone to filter your X feed by meaning, not just keywords - filter out “racism”, “politics”, “arrogance, “aggressively bad vibes”, or posts written by AI. Because the LLM runs locally on your phone, you get to control what you see and own your data. The platform doesn't. This is punk software - software that helps you, not companies. And to fuel the fight, we’ll be applying the “tiny model” theme to whole event - bite size sliders, mini utensils, make your own mini candy ramen, a mini Cavalier Spaniel puppy… Lead engineer Millan will talk about: What’s new in Bouncer 2.0 How we wired up Gemma with LiteRT-LM and a custom LoRA adapter based on Pangram’s “EditLens” paper to make real-time feed filtering possible Why being able to run models on your phone matters (privacy, speed, and user control) What it means to build software that changes the environment around you Come try the app that Twitter’s Nikita Bier said had 72-hours before Twitter killed it. Prove him wrong and take back your attention! Doors open at 5:30pm and close firmly at 6:15pm. Please arrive early, as late entry won't be accommodated. — Millan Philipose is an engineer at Imbue, where he works on making powerful AI models run on the devices you already own. He's the creator of Bouncer, a free and open-source tool that helps you take back control of your social feeds. Bouncer is available on GitHub, the Chrome Web Store, and the App Store. Imbue is an AI company building tools to empower humans in the AI age. We're building toward an open agent ecosystem where you can understand, modify, and verify agents — so they only work in your interest. Learn about our work and what we stand for: www.imbue.com
