Friday @ SQ Collective The Stage @ 1.30pm Title: Responsible AI in practice Speaker: Nuri Purswani Short bio: Nuri Purswani is an independent consultant working at the intersection of data, people, and responsible technology. She is interested in Responsible AI, AI governance, workforce analytics, and ESG, with a focus on helping organizations think critically about the opportunities and risks of AI. Her work centers on building practical, human-centered approaches to technology that balance innovation, accountability, and trust. Nuri was previously Director of Data Strategy for Asia Pacific at Mastercard, where she played a pivotal role in embedding ethical data and AI practices into corporate strategies, influencing global standards for responsible data use and AI governance. What this session is about: As AI becomes increasingly embedded in decisions that affect people, organizations face an important challenge: how do we move from high-level ethical principles to meaningful action? This session explores what Responsible AI looks like in practice, with a focus on emerging developments in AI governance, regulation, and accountability. We will discuss governance frameworks for large language models (LLMs), evolving guidance on Agentic AI systems, and the growing expectations around transparency, oversight, risk management, and human accountability. The session will also examine the real-world tensions between innovation, regulation, and societal impact, encouraging participants to think critically when designing, deploying, and governing AI systems. What the Audience Will Leave With A practical understanding of Responsible AI beyond theoretical principles. Awareness of emerging guidance and governance considerations for Agentic AI and LLM-based systems. Actionable questions and ideas they can apply to their own AI initiatives and governance discussions. About Co-working Fridays Friday is our open co-working day. People come to work on their own projects, take breaks together, and usually stay through the afternoon. It's quiet, focused, and builder- and founder-led. You can arrive anytime from 10AM. Most people show up after lunch and settle in before 1.30pm. Bring your laptop. Grab any open seat. Stay as long as you like. At 1.30pm, we pause work briefly for a shared session called The Stage, then everyone goes back to working. About SQ Collective SQ Collective is a co-working space in Singapore for founders and builders working with AI. Fridays are open co-working days, with a short shared session called The Stage at 1.30pm. People come to work, learn something practical, and go back to building.
