COZY ART GALLERY CAFE with Haru Haru and guest artist Arynlei

We’re so excited to be partnering with the wildly talented Junho of Haru Haru for our next cozy home cafe this month. You all have been asking us to do an event with Haru Haru, so your wish is our command. We’ve been brainstorming this menu for months now and it’s honestly insane how delicious everything is. You are not ready! As apart of this cozy cafe, we’re so excited (and honored!) to be bringing in Chicago-based artist and good friend Arynlei, as she displays pieces from her most recently designed playing card deck series; Caelestes. Drink your coffee and eat your pastries as you peruse the halls of our faux art gallery. Unlike our brunch clubs, public pop ups, or menu drops you’ve seen us do, our cozy cafes are an intimate chef-table style experience, where you get to be the first to taste test potential future Morning Jay’s menu items, vibe with your peeps and future friends, and play pretend cafe with us in our beautiful, creative studio. Get all the deets below: Date: Saturday, July 18th Seatings: 10 AM & 1 PM Location: Our home studio in Oak Park (full address sent upon booking) Menu: 3 savory, 3 sweet, 2 signature beverages, and full espresso coffee bar, everything handmade from scratch. This is a try-everything experience! We prepare items on the smaller side so you have room to taste every single delicious bite. Spots are limited for each seating. See menu below! Accessibility Our apartment is a cozy third-story walk-up. So, please note there’s no elevator access, so it may not be ideal for guests with mobility needs. But hey! Central AC. The concept, which translates to “day by day” in Korean, serves elevated, nostalgic Korean tasting menus that blend traditional roots with the chef’s personal history and whimsical, modern techniques. He just completed a successful residency at The Coach House in Wicker Park. About Arynlei Arynlei is a new media artist and designer whose medium of choice is contemporary playing cards. Drawing from public domain archives, digital culture, and historical research, she creates collectible decks that merge graphic design, storytelling, and conceptual art. Her latest project, Caelestes, reimagines medieval visuals to examine how our understanding of the universe continually evolves, even as the stars themselves remain unchanged.
