Join us for an evening of data science side projects and networking! Come hear lightning talks about what people are building, meet other people working on cool stuff, and hang out. Whether you're deep into a side project, just getting started on one, or curious about what other people are working on, this is a good place to be. Side projects are how a lot of us learn new tools, explore ideas, and connect with people—and they're a lot more fun when you have other people to talk to about them. Emma Durr presents "Polling Public Data with LLM Filters," on building a watcher that sifts thousands of clinical trial updates down to the few that matter, like a trial quietly ending or finally posting its results, with AI reading the fine print.
