High Receipts (38'), a lyrical portrait of youth, friendship, and a Tokyo summer, Directed by Matthew Ballard. Set in the endless heat of Tokyo, four teenage friends (Yasu Chiba, Soma Fujita, Kaito Nakajima, Nobu Nori) play kendama, chase small adventures, and inhabit the freedom of youth. As the days unfold, dreams and new ways of seeing the world begin to emerge. Both intimate and atmospheric, High Receipts is a poetic meditation on adolescence. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director after the film. Doors open 7:30 Screening begins 8:00
