Join us for an engaging, hands-on session that explores how artificial intelligence affects our judgment, reasoning, creativity, and decision-making. You'll participate in a lively group exercise where you'll compare three different approaches: tackling a challenge without AI, using AI openly, and using AI with Human Agency instructions. Together, we'll explore how AI can become a powerful thinking partner while preserving critical thinking, learning, memory, reasoning, and independent judgment. The session concludes with key findings from the experiment, practical strategies you can immediately apply in your daily work, and a fascinating look at neuroscience, exploring how our brains make decisions and how AI may influence the way we think. Presenters Joe Arana will lead the interactive Human Agency experiment, facilitate the group exercise, present the results, and share practical strategies for making better decisions while using AI. Nuri Jeong, PhD, will present the neuroscience behind human decision-making, explain the cognitive mechanisms involved, and discuss how we can preserve human agency in an AI-powered world.
