For the first time Iraqi born, British-Armenian emerging artist Neshan Minassian presents his work in London. Exploring how the threads of intergenerational joy, pain and connection weave together to create a dream-like nostalgia and homesickness for times and places never visited, the exhibition gar chgar (there was, and there was not) is due to run from the 18th to the 21st of July. Please join us for this private viewing launch event on the evening of the 18th where the artist will also be present. — Neshan Minassian is a contemporary artist based in London. Ethnically Armenian, born in Iraq, and raised in the UK, his art explores and weaves together multiple layers of personal and cultural identity. He uses colour, texture, and form inspired by his heritage to evoke dream-like nostalgia and a desire to return to a distant yet unforgettable time.
