12 Scrappy Founders - outdoor and extreme meetups w/ founders and investors in SF, Bay & Seattle. --- THIS IS A PAID, OVERNIGHT EVENT. --- Season 1 · Chapter 4. Forth episode of a documentary series following a small group of Bay Area founders through a year of outdoor challenges. This is the one you literally can't do alone. A raft only moves if everyone in it pulls together, which makes white water the most honest team event we run. There's no faster way to trust a group of people than to hit a rapid with them and come out the other side soaked and laughing. A day on the American River in Amador county: a day of guided white water, wine country in the evening. Your job is to show up and pull your weight. No experience needed. The Plan Small group (capped ~10). Friday: Arrive at the Airbnb by 6:00 PM. Settle in, cook dinner together, prep for the river. Saturday: A full day on the water - guided white water through the foothills, big rapids and calm stretches both. After, back to the house for BBQ, drinks, and wine. Sunday: Breakfast together and head back to the city by 11:00 AM. Overnight: Airbnb with separate rooms for every guest. Who is this for? Founders & Investors: You want a full reset and bonding with good people - not another transactional mixer. All Levels: No rafting experience required. You just need to be comfortable in water and ready to paddle. Supportive Group: We curate the group to be diverse and supportive. This isn't a "boys club" - we strongly value our female rafters and beginners. The Logistics When: Friday, Aug 15 | 6:00 PM – Sunday, Aug 16 | 11:00 AM Where: American River, Amador County (exact location sent upon approval). We coordinate carpooling. Cost: Paid event (includes rafting, guides, lodging, and meals).
