Come spend a day exploring the interplay between sound and movement, and building new ways to create music through gesture and dance! We’ll be kicking off with artist talks for inspiration, followed by an afternoon of experimentation and collaboration, ending with presentations at 7:30pm. Start a new project or bring a work in progress, meet new collaborators and exchange information and techniques with the community. As always, FREE with RSVP! Presented by Music Community Lab, hosted by Fractal Tech Guest speakers: Kate Sicchio [ https://www.sicchio.com ] “Live Coding Choreography: Computation, Algorithms and Movement” Moira Zhang [ https://moirazhang.com ] “Hands as Instruments: An Intro to Hand-Gesture Tools for Live Performance” Kwami Winfield [ https://issueprojectroom.org/artist/kwami-winfield ] Accessibility note: the event venue is up one flight of stairs from street level, and we regret that there is no elevator. If you require any type of assistance, please contact us in advance at contact(at)musiccommunitylab.org
