The Material Room

Picking materials off a screen or a thumbnail swatch is how people end up with a countertop that looks great in the showroom and stains the first week they actually cook on it. Laminates, stone, flooring, lighting. They all behave differently once they're living in a real home, getting wiped down, scratched, walked on, and aged by daylight. The Material Room is a chance to see, touch and handle the things you'll be deciding on, in person, with no rush and no sales pressure. We've brought together the vendors we actually use and would recommend, so you can compare finishes side by side and ask the questions that matter: how does this wear, how does it clean, how does it hold up in a home that gets used. There'll be matcha btw. Come, hang, talk, ask questions, touch materials and leave whenever you like. Who it's for Anyone in the middle of a renovation or about to start one, especially if you're stuck on material decisions and tired of guessing from photos.
